Cancer is a scary disease to have. Yet, we do very little to avoid it, mainly because there is this assumption that everything eventually causes cancer, which is not true. There are certain foods that relate to cancer. Let us discuss them.

The way to avoid GMO foods is to find a nice local organic store that does not sell produce that has been tampered with biotechnologically.
Next are processed meats. Most processed meats like bacon, sausage, lunch meats, and hot dogs have chemical preservatives to make them look fresher and more appealing. These additives can cause cancer, though. In addition, sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate have been linked to increasing the chances of colon cancer and other forms of cancer. I personally think meat is a bad idea in general, but if you love meat and do not want to stop eating it, try to go for uncured meat products that have been made without nitrates and from grass-fed animals.
Microwave Popcorn may be convenient and tasty, but those bags are lined with chemicals linked to infertility and also liver, pancreatic, and testicular cancers. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency acknowledges that the perfluorooctanoic acid in microwave popcorn bag linings are probably carcinogenic. Several independent studies have linked this chemical substance to causing tumors. In addition, the diacetyl chemical that is used in making the popcorn itself is linked to causing lung cancer and lung damage.
Soda is next on the list of cancer causing foods and beverages. It has been shown to have a connection to cancer just like processed meats. It is loaded with sugar, colorings, and food chemicals. Not only these things make it dangerous, soda often contains caramel colors and its derivative 4-methylimidazole, which has been linked to cancer too.

Furthermore, high glycemic foods have been shown to raise blood sugar levels in the body, which helps cancer cell growth.
Refined sugars are also troublesome. They increase insulin levels and also feed the growth of cancer cells. Fructose-rich sweeteners are particularly scary. They easily metabolize and reproduce. This is particularly why the cancer rates are on the rise these days.
Apples and Grapes?! Believe it or not apples and grapes along with other “dirty fruits” that come from the store are exposed to a lot of pesticides, which cause all kinds of cancers. The trick is to buy organic or verified to pesticide-free produce.
You have to be aware of your food: what is in it, what does it cause, and what is at stake if you consume it.
